Yorkshire Energy Surveyors Limited are a team of vastly experienced, accredited Domestic Energy Assessors. The company was formed to provide Energy Performance Certificates to be included in Home Information Packs, following recent legislative changes to the home buying process.

In 2005, following two years of study with the College of Estate Management, we all graduated with a Diploma in Surveying Practice.  Since then we have trained with the SAVA/NHER assessment centre and gained the ABBE Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment.  We are also qualified NHER (National Home Energy Rating) Site Assessors, and we all hold the City & Guilds 6176 in Energy Awareness.

At YES Ltd we have three accredited DEA’s, Mic Burrows (Leeds), Nick Riding (Wakefield) and Alan Braithwaite (Barnsley).  All three of us have worked in the domestic energy efficiency sector for over seven years.   We predominantly worked on a government funded scheme in the role of domestic energy efficiency surveyors/advisors (recommending heating and insulation measures to improve a home’s energy efficiency rating); but we have also been involved with work for local authorities and major utility companies.  From August 2000 to the present date we have carried out well in excess of 20,000 energy surveys between us using RDSAP software.  Since the implementation of HIP’s for 4 bedroom properties on August 1st we have produced over 300 EPC’s for estate agents, solicitors and local authorities.
